The new type of desktop PC

This computer is great. One of the best prototype for desktop computer that I have seen. No monitor is really necessary if you can project the display on a wall. I think this is a great idea. It provides real estate as bit as the wall you are projecting on and a monitor does not take up desk space and you are not limited by the display capabilities of the monitor. The keyboard has a great design as well. It looks as if it is a touch screen sort of display. The peripherals all connect to the circular base. Very cool!!

Interactive LED Coffee Table - The Wave

SOURCE: http://www.becausewecan.org/LED_Coffee_Table_The_Wave

This is a very cool interactive table. Purely aesthetic, but after seeing what Microsoft Surface can do, this is not particularly amazing. It is cool though.

My Photosynth

This is my test of photosynth.
I took several pictures of my niece's room so I show pictures to my relatives at home. I must say it came out relatively well.

Check it out.

Turning images into 3D

This is a very cool new application by Microsoft. This is how it works. You take a normal digital camera and take multiple images of a specific object or location. You then upload the images to their application. It then figures out where the images overlap and creates almost a virtual 3-dimensional portrayal of the object or room. This is very cool.

To try it out, go to http://www.photosynth.net

Check out the video.

Hologram on CNN

I know this was a historic election; but seeing a hologram on CNN was not something that I was expecting at all. The ideas from Star Wars are finally starting to materialize. Very cool. Takes videoconferencing to the next level.

I say it's about time. What do you think?

The Flying Car....what??

This car is very sleek. Is it an unrealistic? Well it is a concept car, but with human potential, genius and creativity, I do not think it is impossible. It is not a matter of how, but of when. I just hope this does not run on gas. Imagine flying hundreds of feet in the air and running out of gas?

The probability of these concepts becoming a reality will depend on us developing alternative sources of energy.

What do you think? Realistic or not?

Nokia Morph

This concept phone blew me away. This totally tops the previous post because it involves nanotechnology. I believe the next wave of major innovation will come from nanotechnology and the possibilities will be endless.

There are too many great things about this concept phone. I will leave them to be revealed through the viewing of this video.

This is truly a next generation device. (not doing it justice by calling it a phone).

Form follows you

Could you guess what this is a concept of?

Yes.

This phone is amazing. If you think the iPhone is hot; I'd pick this over the iPhone any day. This is the 2nd best concept phone that I have seen online. The design idea is that the form of the phone will change to the need of its user during the day. This is 21st century; the devices adapt to us.

What I like about this phone?

1. The flexible and adaptable material. - This phone has a great look. One thing about it, it does look next gen. with a futuristic design. Simple, yet elegant.

2. The interactivity - This phone is alive. It interacts with the user in a way like no other. It is almost like having a pet. Well, you get my point.

3. Functionality - It has GPS, video, large, long screen, able to pay with it I believe (the video shows it briefly). It can be programmed to react in different ways depending on if it is a call or alarm etc.

4. The look -It is slick and fashionable; can suit anyone's style.

Check it out. I'd like to hear your opinions.
